Our Process

From design to delivery… Metal Works is your one-stop fabrication hub

Our company is unique, because we rarely outsource services. We provide you with everything from raw materials to fabrication and shipping. Here’s a high-level overview of what a typical custom project timeline looks like.

1

Post-Design

Once your design is final, our Project Management Department can step in and take over. We can also work with your design team to find solutions to reduce cost as well as lead times.

Our Project Management Department is backed by a team of certified welders, fitters, painters, engineers, and specialists from other manufacturing disciplines. Their combined knowledge will help see you through your project from conception to the final product.

2

Raw materials arrive

Metal Works provides a broad selection of materials for our clients’ needs. From raw materials to specialty products, we can help you find the right steel product to get the job done right. Once these materials have been identified, they can be ordered or pulled from inventory at our 18-acre campus.

3

Fabrication

Once the design has been drawn up, we’ll begin the fabrication process. Our 65,000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art fabrication space houses our steel facility for our structural and miscellaneous welding operations where products are made.

We’ve invested in top-of-the-line equipment to ensure the creation of high-quality end products. Our standards mean the finished products are held to the highest standards.

4

Cleaning

Once the product has been created, we’ll give it a final clean up. This will remove any steel shavings, slag, or other debris on the surface. Then, it will be ready for the next stage.

5

Coatings and Finishes

If your product requires finishing, Metal Works will take care of it. This process will take a day or more, depending on the scale and volume of the project.

6

Loading/Delivery

Once the project has been completed, Metal Works will prepare your products for shipping. We will carefully load it into one of our trucks and deliver it to your location. And depending on the size and scope of the project, Metal Works contracts with reputable freight companies for shipping when necessary.

Vertically Integrated

One of the best things about Metal Works is we offer support from design to delivery. You won’t have to deal with any middlemen like suppliers and delivery companies. Gone are the days when you’d have to find separate vendors for product sourcing, fabrication, and shipping. We take the hassle out of the process and provide you with conception-to-completion services, with the final product shipped to its on-site destination.
